About us

A former AAA executive, Kurt spent 29 years with AAA Club Alliance, including 17 years as Director of Driver Education & Training, before retiring to continue his work supporting older drivers and families.

With more than 20 years of traffic safety experience, Kurt specializes in senior driver safety, mobility planning, and aging driver assessments. Through KEG Consulting, he provides driving evaluations, educational seminars, and practical guidance designed to help older adults drive safely for as long as possible while helping families navigate important decisions surrounding independence and mobility.

Kurt is also the author of Planning Your Driving Retirement: A Practical Guide for Aging Drivers and Their Families, a resource created to help families approach conversations about driving safety with greater confidence, dignity, and compassion.

In addition to his driver safety work, Kurt leads Seniors Helping Seniors® Metro Springfield, a non-medical in-home care agency dedicated to helping older adults remain independent, connected, and safe in the comfort of their own homes.

Kurt holds a master’s degree in Business Management & Marketing, a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and has completed extensive specialized training in driver education, traffic safety, and senior mobility.
